Financial assistance to secure the land to construct a new school building

In June 2009, the Mylvaganam Trust assisted Batticaloa / Munaikadu Vivekananda Vidyalayam to purchase the adjacent land to construct a new school building that was funded by a foreign agency Aid.

Mr. Mylvaganam Yogeswaran was instrumental in the process of negotiation with the land owners and successfully secured the land for the proposed new school building.

Financial assistance for the needy scholars

In August 2009, Mylvaganam Trust identified 5 needy scholars of Batticaloa / Munaikadu Vivekananda Vidyalayam to offer monthly financial assistance to partially cover their academic needs. This ongoing project is a combined effort of all of the eleven grandchildren of the late Advocate Mylvaganam and Mrs. Ledchumipillai Mylvaganam.
